Rachel Brown: Songs of American’s Favorite Female Singers and Songwriters

Ohio Regional Music Arts and Cultural Outreach (ORMACO) and the Medina County District Library present South Euclid based keyboardist Rachel Brown on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at 6:30 pm at the Medina County District Library, 210 S. Broadway Street, Medina, OH 44256. In celebration of Women’s History Month, Rachel will present various songs and stories from many of the great American women performers.

About Rachel Brown:

Rachel Brown has been dubbed “The Honky Tonk Queen of Cleveland” due to her gospel type piano stylings reminiscent of Floyd Cramer and the great Jerry Lee Lewis. She also holds a master’s in music education with a piano emphasis. Rachel has been performing Traditional Country/Gospel/Americana/Blues music since she was 6 years old and hails from a family with deep roots in traditional music. As a singer/songwriter, she has recorded three albums of her original songs and one focusing on the music of Patsy Cline. Her band, The Beatnik Playboys, have been playing and creating music together for over 15 years. Rachel often performs concerts focusing on her storytelling and original songs. Through the years, Rachel has opened for many legendary artists including Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, The Judds, Emmylou Harris and Loretta Lynn. By day, she is also a music teacher at Elyria City Schools.
