Medina Community Band Summer Concerts 2023

Medina Community Band will present its first concert for the 2023 Summer Gazebo Series on Friday, June 2nd, at 8:30 p.m., in the Gazebo on the Medina Public Up-town Park Square. 

Featured soloist will be Jeff Danilovic, cornet soloist, performing Herbert L. Clarke’s The Maid of the Mist and Erich Standar, clarinet; Kevin Wallick, trumpet; Rodney Hannah, trombone; and, Kyle Snyder, tuba in Red McLeod’s State Street Strut Dixieland. 

The community band will feature Ralph Vaughan Williams’ fanfare Flourish for Wind Band (Garrett Birk conducting),
Meredith Willson’s The Music Man Selections – which we dedicate to Pete and Mike Meadows
Johann Strauss, Jr.’s polka In Krapfen’s Woods, Op. 336
Scott Joplin’s rag Cleopha
Jacques Offenbach’s Galop from Genevieve de Brabant
Neil Diamond’s 1977 hit You Don’t Bring Me Flowers

Featured marches will be Karl King’s Barnum and Bailey’s Favorite
John Philip Sousa’s marches El Capitan
The Stars and Stripes Forever

Medina Community Band will continue their 2023 summer season, a celebration of 164 years (since 1859) of presenting community concerts in Medina. Concerts will be every Friday through Friday, July 28th (with the exclusion of June 30.)  A special July 4th concert is planned as well.  All concerts will be at Medina’s Uptown Park Square Gazebo and begin at 8:30p.
