Medina Community Band will present its fourth concert for the 2023 Summer Gazebo Series on Friday, June 23rd, at 8:30 p.m., in the Gazebo on the Medina Public Up-town Park Square.
Featured soprano soloist will be Medina resident Emelia Aceto performing George Bizet’s Habanera from Carmen and Claude-Michel Schönberg’s I Dreamed a Dream from Les Misérables.
Featured instrumental ensemble will be Sue McLaughlin and Alyssa Miller playing Kling’s Two Little Bullfinches for piccolo duet.
Associate conductor Dr. Darren LeBeau will conduct Mancini’s Henry Mancini at the Oscars and Fred Jewell’s march Quality Plus.
The concert will open with Richard Rodgers The Sound of Music, and will also feature Karl King’s Ragged Rozey and Irving Berlin’s God Bless America before concluding with John Philip Sousa’s The Stars and Stripes Forever.
As you look forward in Medina Community Band’s concert calendar, please keep in mind that there is no concert on Friday June 30, 2023. Instead, they will present a concert on Tuesday July 4.
Medina Community Band will continue their 2023 Summer Gazebo Concert Series. Concerts will be every Friday through Friday, July 28th (with the exclusion of June 30.) A special July 4th concert is planned as well. All concerts will be at Medina’s Uptown Park Square Gazebo and begin at 8:30p.
